About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Applications Analyst to support, optimize, and enhance enterprise applications that are critical to business operations. This role will serve as a key connection point between business stakeholders, IT teams, leadership, and vendors to ensure applications and systems are reliable, scalable, and aligned with organizational priorities.

The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of enterprise application support, systems analysis, troubleshooting, technical development, and stakeholder management. You will evaluate existing systems, identify opportunities for improvement, support application implementations and enhancements, and help translate business needs into practical technology solutions.

This position also plays a role in strengthening product management practices across the organization, including portfolio planning, prioritization, governance, roadmaps, and measurement of business value.

What You'll Do

  • Support, maintain, and optimize enterprise business applications and associated systems.
  • Partner with business leaders, IT teams, end users, and vendors to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Troubleshoot complex application and system issues, identify root causes, and drive issues through resolution.
  • Evaluate existing applications and systems for effectiveness, efficiency, compatibility, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Design, implement, and support enhancements to existing applications, software, and operating systems.
  • Support enterprise application testing, including new implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and applications being evaluated for purchase.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing and end-user reviews for new or modified systems.
  • Perform cost-benefit and ROI analysis to support technology investment and implementation decisions.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting procedures, training materials, and end-user documentation.
  • Partner with department leaders to identify application training needs and support the development and delivery of training.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of application issues, troubleshooting activities, decisions, and resolutions.
  • Apply diagnostic and technical tools to investigate and resolve application issues.
  • Support system security, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity practices.
  • Help establish and improve product management standards, governance, roadmaps, prioritization, and intake processes.
  • Translate strategic business objectives into product and technology initiatives with clearly defined requirements and measurable outcomes.
  • Track KPIs, portfolio performance, roadmap progress, and value realization, communicating results and recommendations to leadership.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies, application trends, and opportunities to improve the organization's technology environment.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant IT, applications, systems analysis, or enterprise technology experience.
  • Hands-on experience supporting and maintaining enterprise and desktop applications.
  • Experience working with business systems such as CRM, HR/HCM, financial, and Microsoft-based applications.
  • Experience building, maintaining, configuring, or enhancing software applications.
  • Strong application troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
  • Experience working with databases for querying, reporting, troubleshooting, or issue tracking.
  • Ability to gather and translate business requirements into technical requirements and actionable solutions.
  • Understanding of application security and general IT security best practices.
  • Experience developing technical documentation, end-user procedures, and training materials.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to prioritize competing responsibilities and work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service mindset and ability to build relationships across technical and business teams.
